Differentiation of Technology

Adding Technology Adding technology into lessons each day is vital part of the learning sequencing. The digital resources that are used to better enhance the learning process for students is ZEARN, Great Minds, and SeeSaw. These digital tool allows for the scaffold for each lesson. In the three day unit plan, I added technology into the small group rotation. This allows for students to have extra exposure to the content that they have learned in the whole group lesson. This technology resource also helps build on previous learned math strategies while building new ones. Great minds will help students watch examples of how to solve multi-digit multiplication answers while they work independently. SeeSaw will be used for students to record themselves and explain how they are working through the problems. This allows for students to reflect back on what they are thinking while also allowing for myself to take a look at how students are understanding their concept development of mult...

Designing a Differentiated Lesson Plan #3

The instructional strategies and differentiation of this lesson were evaluated through the learning style inventory form I had some students complete which is how I differentiated some instructional for these students with multiple uses of engagement. I also considered all of my student s’ learning levels, such my ELL students and students who require tier 3 reading support. This lesson is fifteen days into the unit of the Westward Expansion, and we have done some similar work to this structure already. As educators it is important that we accommodate lessons that include a larger range of all teach ing styles and diverse sets of skills (O’Donnell, 2017). In doing so, we need to keep student learning levels and interests into account for student success.   I have observed that having multiple ways to complete work and check for understanding allows for students to be more successful. I have differentiated work based on how much support stu dents may need. Since m...

Learning Styles Analysis

Learning Style Analysis  This form shows the data from 3 students in the 5th grade. They ranked their preferred learning style (description was given) in an order from 1 (least preferred) to 5 (highly preferred). When looking at this data it looks like all three students ranked solitary learning style as their least favorite. Solitary learning the prefer study of working independently.  When determining the interconnections of different learning styles along with the  cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical development of the students it should be noted that a students; preferred way to learn will help positively influence their the way they process information along with engaging other classmates/the curriculum content.   *Sue, Sally, and Jack are pseudonyms*   Interconnections of Learning Styles and how they are Developed The interconnection of learning styles and how they are developed are strongly supported through student preferen...
