Differentiation of Technology
Adding Technology
Adding technology into lessons each day is vital part of the learning sequencing. The digital resources that are used to better enhance the learning process for students is ZEARN, Great Minds, and SeeSaw. These digital tool allows for the scaffold for each lesson. In the three day unit plan, I added technology into the small group rotation. This allows for students to have extra exposure to the content that they have learned in the whole group lesson. This technology resource also helps build on previous learned math strategies while building new ones. Great minds will help students watch examples of how to solve multi-digit multiplication answers while they work independently. SeeSaw will be used for students to record themselves and explain how they are working through the problems. This allows for students to reflect back on what they are thinking while also allowing for myself to take a look at how students are understanding their concept development of multi-digit multiplication. ]
How Technology Engages Students
Technology engages students and motivates them because it is a new way for students to learn. Students can use digital resources to better understand the important parts of a lesson. Each piece of technology allows for students to be engaged in their own learning. This means they are accountable for how they are choosing to learn. Finding technology that works for students can increase their engagement into the content they are learning )Sharma, 2023). These different technologies allow students to learn in many ways with all kinds of supports. Examples, scaffolds, visuals, and auditory learning is supported by all three digital tools.
Global Awareness & Diverse cultural aspects
The technology that is used for global awareness because it teaches the students how to work collaboratively. The technology that I used reaches the needs for all students. The ELL students I have in this class can use SeeSaw for vocalizing their thinking with also directions read to them to complete assignments. Using technology in the classroom can allow students to connect to all cultures and perspectives from all around the world and appreciate the people around them (Defuria, n.d.). This is key for students to be more inclusive with the world around them. These technologies connect students to learning with different styles and skill sets.
